Tennessee Lottery

The Tennessee lottery was passed into law in 2002 following an amendment to the state constitution in which 58% of residents voted for the creation of a lottery. It is administered by the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation (TELC) which sold the first lottery ticket in 2004. As well as offering one in-state game, Tennessee Cash, the TELC is also a member of the Multi-State Lottery Association which enables it to participate in the Mega Millions and Powerball draw-based games.
