Washington DC Lottery

The Washington DC Lottery, which is known as the District of Columbia Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board, is operated by the state administration. It is a charter member of the Multi-State Lottery Association and offers games such as Hot Lotto and Powerball. Since operations began in 1982, more than $1.5 billion has been generated in ticket proceeds. A sizeable proportion of funds (around 28%) are distributed to a variety of good causes in the areas of education, child services and public safety.
