Chile Lottery

The Chilean lottery was established in 1934 following the passing of legislation under the presidency of Don Arturo Alessandri Palma.Known as the Chilean Polla de Beneficencia, draws were initially made in conjunction with horse racing results until a tombolasystem was finally introduced in the 1950s.

The game, which is administered by PollaChilena, recently celebrated its 80th birthday and is one of the major sources of funding for the Chilean treasury.

Lotto is a standard 6/41 draw-based game in which six balls are selected from a pool of 41. Players are required to select 6 numbers although a ‘combined play’ option allows for more combinations. The same numbers can be played a second and third time through the ‘revancha’ and ‘disquite’ options respectively.
