Greek Lottery

The Greek Lotto was established in 1990 and is managed by OPAP which organises and administers games of chance, as well as sports betting. OPAP was created in 1958 in order to improve sporting infrastructure by using proceeds acquired through football betting. Today it manages a wide variety of instant and draw-based lottery games including the main national lottery and Joker 5. Trans-national lotteries such as Euromillions and Eurojackpot are also available.

Lotto

The Greek Lotto uses a fairly common 6/49 matrix where six numbers are drawn from a pot of 49. The prize structure is limited to five tiers, as detailed below. In order to win the jackpot, players much overcome odds of 13,983,816 and match six correct numbers. To claim a prize, at least three digits must be successfully predicted.

Euro Millions is a pan-European lottery which follows a 5/50 + 2/12 double matrix structure. Five numbers are drawn from 50 as well as another two ‘Lucky Stars ‘from a smaller pot of 12. The odds of walking away with the jackpot are a rather forbidding 1 in 139,838,160

Euro Millions Lottery Ticket

Lottery tickets for the Euro Millions game consist of four game boards with 50 selection boxes. To the right are the lucky star boxes where players select their supplementary numbers. There’s also an option to choose how many consecutive weeks to play the same numbers, which is located at the top of each ticket/selection slip.

The Eurojackpot is a multi-national draw based lottery game currently played in 17 European countries including Greece. It has a 5/50 + 2/12 double matrix where 5 numbered balls are drawn from a pool of 50 as well as an additional two from a smaller pool of 12. The odds of winning the jackpot are remote and stand at 95,344,200 to 1.

Eurojackpot Lottery Ticket

Eurojackpot tickets consist of ten game boards containing 50 numbered check boxes. Next to these are twelve fields for players to select two additional Euro Numbers.
