Denmark Lottery
Denmark’s national lottery was established in 1948 with the first game introduced a year later. It’s administered by the Danske Spil offices in Brøndby where licensesare awarded one year at a time. The majority of ticket proceeds (80%) go the state which channels some of the money to a variety of good causes in the areas of culture and sport. The remaining 20% is distributed to the Danish Sports Confederation and Gymnastic Associations respectively.

Danske Lottery
The Danske Lottery is Denmark’s national game. It follows a 7/36 game where seven numbers are drawn from 36. A ‘trump card’ is also chosen which, if successfully matched with all seven numbers, results in a separate jackpot prize.

Also known as the Viking Lottery, the Onsdags Lotto is a multi-national game played in 8 European countries including Denmark. It features a 6/48 format where six balls are drawn from a pot of 48 with an extra two additional numbers which are used to decide non-jackpot prizes. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 12,271,512.

Euro Millions is a multi-national game, created in 2004. Operated by nine European countries, it features a 5/50 + 2/12 format where 5 numbers are drawn from a pool of 50 and two supplementary balls from a smaller pot of 12. The odds of winning a jackpot stand at a remote 1 in 139,838,160, although the jackpots tend to be extremely large.
Euro Millions Lottery Ticket
For each Euro Millions lottery ticket, there are four game grids with selection boxes numbered from 1 to 50. The ‘lucky star’ panels are located to the right as well as an option to choose the same numbers for consecutive weeks – this is at the top of every ticket/play slip.

The biggest lottery win in Denmark occurred in 2013 when a man from Copenhagen, who chose to remain anonymous, won a jackpot of 135 million Kroner on the Danske Lottery.
