The Iowa Lottery was created in April of 1985 with tickets going on sale in late August of that year. It proved immediately popular with 6.4 million tickets sold in the first week. Indiana Lottery

The Hoosier Lottery came into being after a state referendum in 1988 where 62% voted for its introduction. Illinois Lottery

The Illinois Lottery has a long history, having been established in 1974. Despite a great deal of interest during its early years, sales tailed off before a major revival in 1980 following the launch of its Pick 3 game. Idaho Lottery

The Idaho Lottery was established in 1989 following a public vote. Georgia Lottery

The Georgia lottery came into existence in 1992 following a state referendum. The Georgia Lottery Corporation was then set up to oversee all operations.
